You will simply be required to log in to your NMDOH Online Patient Portal account. After logging into your NMDOH Online Patient Portal account, you will be able to download your digital medical marijuana card from the portal and save it to your mobile device for easy usage.
The medical marijuana ID cards are provided and renewed without any costs by the New Mexico government. There are no charges applicable to the application process for a new medical marijuana ID card or its renewal at the New Mexico Department of Health. Nonetheless, it is advisable to cater to your medical service provider’s charges for the recertification visit. The fees begin at $100 or higher. If the ID card gets lost or damaged, it can be replaced for $50.
There is no charge for accessing your digital medical marijuana card in New Mexico. In the past, New Mexico charged a fee of $50 for replacing a lost or damaged physical medical marijuana card. Now that the state has completely shifted to digital medical marijuana cards, however, there is no longer a charge to download and store your card on your mobile phone.
There is no waiting period in this state because there will be no actual cards anymore. The registered patient simply logs into their NMDOH Online Patient Portal and gains immediate access to their medical cannabis card electronically – regardless of what time of day or which day of the week it is.
